Daana veera soora karna dialogue2/3/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is almost the entire Mahabharata condensed to three hours. The dialogues are good (so good that many words have never been used even in earlier mythological films in Kannada) and delivered reasonably well, the costumes are grand but the graphics clumsy, the narrative is fast and even gives a few modern interpretations. Duryodhana falls prey to his scheming and each succeeding episode leads up to the Kurukshetra war. Shakuni’s backstory is put in place as Duryodhana is in play. ![]() Karna arrives to challenge Arujuna only to be derided for entering the arena of the upper caste kings. The film starts with the episode where the Pandavas and Kauravas have completed their education under Dronacharya and are assembled to display their skills. Episodes of Abhimanyu and Karna get a lion’s share while Duryodhana is relegated to the background till the very climax. However the producer’s political considerations plays spoilsport with the narrative in the second half. This was supposed to be the interpretation of the Mahabharata from the perspective of Duryodhana, who otherwise is the antagonist in most popular narratives. ![]()
